CM KCR to lay stone for nursing colleges at Wanaparthy, Nagarkurnool

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao will lay the foundation stone for the proposed government nursing colleges at Wanaparthy and Nagarkurnool soon. Similarly, IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao will lay the foundation stone for the nursing college at Gadwal, announced Agriculture Minister S Niranjan Reddy. He wanted the officials to make all arrangements for the foundation stone laying ceremonies respectively and ensure that there were no hurdles in the allocation of necessary land and other permissions required for the purpose.
He held a teleconference with the MPs, MLAs, MLCs, Zilla Parishad chairpersons, municipal chairpersons, District Collectors and municipal commissioners of Jogulamba Gadwal, Wanaparthy and Nagarkurnool district from Hyderabad on Wednesday.
The Minister asked the officials to remain on a high alert in the wake of incessant rains across the State. He pointed out that several rivulets and streams were in full spate, and directed the officials to strengthen these banks and the bunds to ensure that they do not breach in case of heavy flooding. He also suggested that houses in dilapidated conditions should be identified and inmates shifted to safer places to prevent any loss of lives.
The officials were instructed to take up a special plantation drive and plant saplings in vacant land available between the existing plants as part of ‘Gap Filling’ before the winter season commences in the next couple of months. He felt that the constituency development funds should be utilised for the development of basic infrastructure in the schools and asked the District Collectors to visit as many schools as possible for necessary action. They were also asked to initiate measures to prevent the spread of seasonal diseases in rural areas.
MP P Ramulu, MLAs Beeram Harshavardhan Reddy, Abraham, Marri Janardhan Reddy, Jaipal Yadav, Guvvala Balaraju, Ala Venkateshwar Reddy, Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy, Chittem Rammohan Reddy, MLCs K Damodar Reddy, Surabhi Vani Devi, Kasireddy Narayana Reddy and others participated in the teleconference.
