CMC clears 420 encroachments from footpaths across three zones

Hyderabad: As part of a weekly drive to remove encroachments from footpaths, officials on Saturday conducted an operation in three zones – Kukatpally, Quthbullapur and Serilingampally – under the Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) and restored 16.7 km of footpaths to ensure obstruction-free public spaces.
A press statement said the drive covered 15 circles and 16 stretches across the CMC limits, spanning 16.7 km, during which 420 encroachments from footpaths and public spaces were removed.
The drive was carried out in the Chintal, Jeedimetla, Kompally, Gajularamaram, Nizampet, Dundigal, Medchal, Madhapur, Allwyn Colony, Kukatpally, Narsingi, Patancheru, Ameenpur, Miyapur and Serilingampally circles.
CMC Commissioner G Srijana said the weekly drive was aimed at keeping footpaths free from encroachments, improving pedestrian accessibility and promoting safer movement for all road users.
