CMC earmarks IDL Lake for Ganesh immersion, reviews arrangements

The Cyberabad Municipal Corporation has designated IDL Lake for Ganesh idol immersion this year. Commissioner G Srijana inspected the site and directed officials to ensure sanitation, safety, traffic management and devotee convenience.

Hyderabad: Devotees within Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) limits can use IDL Lake for Ganesh idol immersion, according to a press release.

CMC commissioner G Srijana on Saturday visited the lake with Kukatpally zonal commissioner, deputy commissioner and representatives of Ganesh Utsav Committee to earmark the immersion point and review arrangements.

Officials reviewed devotee movement and access, sanitation, waste management, lighting, traffic management, safety and other essential civic facilities. Srijana directed them to deploy adequate manpower, machinery and essential equipment at the immersion point well in advance.

Teams were instructed to ensure continuous cleaning and prompt waste clearance throughout the immersion period, keep the premises clean and accessible, and provide safe and smooth immersion arrangements and necessary civic and safety measures for devotees.
