Cold wave grips Telangana with Hyderabad hitting season low of 6.3 degrees
Hyderabad recorded its coldest morning with temperatures dropping to 6.3 degrees in Gachibowli and 7.1 in Moula Ali. The severe cold wave disrupted early routines, with activity resuming only after 9 am as temperatures rose slightly.

Hyderabad: The State capital recorded its coldest morning in the season on Friday, as a severe cold wave tightened its grip across Telangana. The mercury plunged to a season-low of 6.3 degree celsius at University of Hyderabad, Gachibowli followed by 7.1 degree celsius in Moula Ali, based on weather data from TSDPS and local independent weather trackers.
The biting cold on Friday morning had an immediate impact on daily life as people avoided venturing out during the wee hours. The City roads and open grounds, usually bustling with early office goers, morning walkers and joggers were eerily empty, reminding of the unprecedented chill.
Normal life gradually resumed only after 9 am when the morning sun finally broke through, providing some respite from the numbing cold.
