Collector inaugurates renovated dormitory at Bala Sadan in Khammam

Khammam: In a kindhearted gesture the RPF Inspector of Protection Force (CI) K Madhusudhan has come forward to give a facelift to Bala Sadan, the state-run home for orphans and semi-orphans here.
The dormitory, other rooms and outer walls have been painted beautifully with inspirational quotes, images of children, famous personalities and child rights slogans. The CI who wanted to ensure the place looks lively has spent around Rs 20, 000 towards the renovation of the Sadhan.
Speaking to Telangana Today Madhusudhan said he had visited the place a few times in the past and thought of giving it a child-friendly look and to ensure the environment was emotionally secure and psychologically enabling.
‘Everyone has a duty to contribute their part in creating an effective and inclusive room for children and I just delivered by part,” he averred. He thanked Childline-1098 district coordinator K Srinivas for his active support in carrying out the task.
The District Collector RV Karnan along with the RPF official Madhusudhan and District Welfare Officer Sandhya Rani has inaugurated the renovated dormitory and other rooms at the Sadhan situated at NST road here on Thursday. He interacted with the children learning about their studies and well being. He appreciated two inmates of the Sadhan Uma Maheswari and Jaswitha who excelled in the recently held Social Welfare Gurukul entrance test.
Karnan instructed the Bala Sadan officials to make sure that all the children attend online classes and spoken English classes, which were being conducted twice in a week. The children must be offered quality food as per the menu, he said.
