Commerce stream tops DOST 2026 first-phase allotments in Telangana

Commerce has once again emerged as the most sought-after stream in Telangana’s undergraduate admissions, with over 23,000 students opting for it in the first phase of DOST 2026 seat allotments.

Hyderabad: Commerce stream continues to be the top pick for students in undergraduate education. As per the Degree Online Services Telangana (DOST) 2026 first phase seat allotment details, Commerce faculty attracted 23,214 students, the highest among the different faculties.

Commerce was followed by Physical Science, which was opted for by 14,394 students. Similarly, 9,815 students were assigned seats in the Life Sciences and another 8,415 in Arts faculty.

As for medium-wise allotments, 54,608 students chose to join the English medium, 1,131 the Telugu medium, 396 the Urdu medium, seven the Hindi medium and five the Arabic medium.
