Hyderabad: A complaint has been submitted to Mehdipatnam Police seeking legal action against Goshamahal MLA T Raja Singh over his alleged remarks targeting Muslims, particularly Muslim women, here on Thursday.

The complainant, Salman Khan, alleged that the legislator’s statements, which have reportedly been circulated through videos and social media platforms recently, caused distress among members of the Muslim community and could potentially affect communal harmony.

In the complaint, Salman Khan urged the police to examine the viral video, verify its authenticity, gather relevant evidence and initiate legal proceedings if any offence is established during the investigation.

The complainant also requested authorities to take preventive measures to maintain communal peace and to conduct an impartial inquiry.
