Complaint lodged against Bhadrachalam MLA’s follower for threatening to kill an Adivasi
Koppula Nagaraju, an Adivasi operating a sand reach in Cherla mandal, lodged a complaint against MD Nawab, a follower of MLA Dr Tellam Venkat Rao, alleging attack, threats to life, and extortion demands. He sought police protection and action against the accused.

Kothagudem: An Adivasi operating a sand reach in Cherla mandal in the district lodged a complaint against a follower of Bhadrachalam MLA Dr. Tellam Venkat Rao, for threatening to kill him.
In a complaint lodged with Cherla police on Wednesday, the Adivasi, Koppula Nagaraju stated that the MLA’s follower, MD Nawab, who claims to be the private aide to the MLA, attacked and injured him on Tuesday morning in a matter related to the sand reach.
He further said that, on the same evening, Nawab along with the MLA’s followers Turram Ramu, Turram Raju, P Nagaraju and Abhiram came to his home at Gumpenagudem and threatened to kill him and frightened his family.
Nagaraju alleged that Nawab demanded a share in the sand reach and a certain amount of money. As he refused to do so he was being targetted by Nawab with the support from his accomplices, Paruchuri Ravi, Paruchuri Ravindra Babu, Devabhaktuni Ramakrishna and Gudapati Sreenu.
He appealed to the police to take action against the above accused and give protection to him.
