Fresh remarks by former Congress MLA Podem Veeraiah against Bhadrachalam MLA Dr. Tellam Venkat Rao have reignited tensions between the two leaders, causing unrest among party workers, even as internal differences within the Congress surfaced in Pinapaka constituency.
Koppula Nagaraju, an Adivasi operating a sand reach in Cherla mandal, lodged a complaint against MD Nawab, a follower of MLA Dr Tellam Venkat Rao, alleging attack, threats to life, and extortion demands. He sought police protection and action against the accused.
