Comprehensive health camp conducted for police in Sangareddy

Sangareddy: Police and the Health Department jointly organised a comprehensive health camp for police personnel at PSR Gardens here on Wednesday, in association with the Indian Medical Association (IMA) and NMJ Cancer Institute, Hyderabad.
Expert doctors from 13 disciplines conducted health check-ups for the police personnel. More than 80 doctors, paramedical staff, and nurses took part in the camp.
Speaking on the occasion, Health Minister Damodara Rajanarasimha said the police were responsible for protecting society and the Constitution, but it was also the duty of society to take care of them as they make significant sacrifices to maintain peace. He stressed the need for police personnel to undergo regular health check-ups to monitor their well-being.
Superintendent of Police Paritosh Pankaj urged the personnel to give top priority to their health, saying that being physically and mentally fit would help them perform their duties more efficiently. He emphasised the importance of yoga, meditation, and regular exercise, noting that policing is among the most demanding professions.
A large number of police personnel from across the district attended the camp. Collector P Pravinya, TGIIC chairperson Nirmala Jagga Reddy and other officials were present.
