Confidence levels in dalits of Vasalamarri increased after Dalit bandhu: Experts

Yadadri-Bhongir: A team of experts from different sectors visited Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s adopted village Vasalamarri of Thurkapally mandal in Yadadri-Bhongir district on Sunday.

Centre for Good Governance director J Devi Prasad, BC Commission former member Juluri Gowri Shanker, eminent historian Adapa Satyanarayana, Prof Anji Reddy of Mahatma Gandhi University and SC Corporation executive director Shyam Sunder were among the experts team that visited Vasalamarri.


The team conducted a door-to-door survey in Dalit wada of Vasalamarri and assessed the awareness created among them on Dalit Bandhu by the officials through conducting workshops. They also inquired the Dalits about their financial condition and occupations chosen by them for the livelihood. They opined that confidence levels in the Dalits of Vasalamarri, has increased after launch of Dalit Bandhu scheme by the State government.

The village Sarpanch Pogula Anjaneyulu and MPTC Naveen were also accompanied the team of experts.
