Hyderabad: Despite losing the Qualifier 2, Sunrisers Hyderabad were delighted to reach the knockout stages after an uncertain campaign in the initial stages. They have lost Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mitchell Marsh to injuries but the bowling unit, led by Sandeep Sharma, did a commendable job.

However, Tamil Nadu’s T Natarajan hogged the limelight with his ability to bowl yorkers. His hard work also got rewards when he was drafted into the Indian side that will tour Australia later this month. With spinner Varun Chakravarthy injuring his shoulder, the BCCI selection committee included the left arm seamer into the side.

SRH captain David Warner had always spoken highly about Natarajan. He congratulated the bowler on his selection into Indian side. He maintained that Natarajan was the find of the season for the franchise. In a video posted on Twitter, Warner said, “Congratulations Nattu! I will see you in Australia.”

Speaking about the season, he added. “It is a mixed season, we didn’t start too well. But back end, we got some really good momentum given that we have four, five injuries. I am extremely proud of the guys. Hopefully we will make one step further and enter final. Thank you everyone. I look forward to seeing you all next year,” he concluded.

Thanks to all our loyal supporters who watched and followed us this year. Sorry we could not get the job done but we gave it our best. Hopefully we can go one step further next season. #cricket #ipl #buttabomma https://t.co/f4mbkLRPWO
