Hyderabad: Crediting former chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao for the interim orders issued by the Justice Brijesh Kumar Tribunal, former Minister and BRS leader V Srinivas Goud said the Congress might have brought Section 89 of the Reorganization Act, but it was Chandrashekhar Rao’s acceptance of Krishna water distribution that led to the tribunal’s orders.

He criticized Irrigation Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy for not understanding the facts and continuing to criticize Chandrashekhar Rao, which he said only made people laugh.

Highlighting the development of the erstwhile Mahbubnagar district under the BRS rule, Goud challenged Congress MLAs to resign and win elections if they claimed BRS had done nothing.

Former MLA Patnam Narender Reddy said the farmers’ protest in Shabad was a success as BRS leader KT Rama Rao also attended it. He accused Congress leaders of attacking Rama Rao out of jealousy.
