Hyderabad: Former Minister Harish Rao on Saturday ridiculed the Congress, pointing out that after successive defeats in Haryana and Maharashtra, it had now faced yet another setback in the Delhi Assembly elections.
“Rahul Gandhi and Revanth Reddy have played a key role in these series of failures,” Harish Rao said on X.
The former Minister said the Congress was neglecting governance in Telangana and was chasing votes in other States but such tactics were apparently not working. People had realized the hollowness of the Congress government’s so called guarantees and the results spoke for themselves, he stressed.
The former Minister also pointed out that Congress party’s desperate flip-flop on the caste census in Delhi had completely backfired. It was time for the Congress to admit its mistakes, apologize to the people, and conduct the caste census properly to ensure justice for all communities, he demanded.
“Revanth Reddy should first fulfill the six guarantees and 420 promises in Telangana before running around campaigning elsewhere,” Harish Rao suggested, adding that unless the Chief Minister changed course, the Congress should expect to meet the same fate in every elections, including the upcoming local body polls.
