Hyderabad: Stating that the farm sector in the State was facing the worst-ever crisis, former Minister and BRS MLA G Jagadish Reddy lashed out at the Congress for deceiving farmers with false promises of the crop loan waiver.
He accused the Congress of misleading the Assembly and the public by making unachievable commitments and later retracting them.
According to Reddy, the Congress claimed to have waived loans worth Rs 49,000 crore, but it had delivered less than Rs 20,000 crore. It left the farmers in distress.
He further alleged that Congress had made lavish promises, but not even 30% of them were fulfilled even in terms of the proposed budgetary allocations.
Reddy also criticized the BJP, accusing the party of plotting against the interests of southern and northern States through their delimitation plans.
He warned that such actions could lead to widespread opposition and undermine federal unity. Emphasising the importance of State solidarity, Reddy reaffirmed the BRS’ commitment to fighting for Telangana’s rights and welfare.
The former Minister expressed concern over the incompetence of the Congress government and the BJP’s strategies.
He urged people to remain vigilant and united in safeguarding their interests.
