Kothagudem: The Congress government is spreading misinformation on the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project (KLIP) to defame former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, alleged BRS founding member Dindigala Rajender.
At the call of BRS working president KT Rama Rao, party leaders staged a protest wearing black badges at the Telangana Thalli statue at Jagadamba Centre in Yellandu on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajender said the Congress was conspiring against Kaleshwaram and attempting to weaken Telangana’s rights over river waters. He strongly condemned remarks made by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy in the Assembly against BRS chief Chandrashekhar Rao, who, he said, had worked tirelessly to construct Kaleshwaram, the lifeline of Telangana, and provide irrigation to farmers.
Rajender further pointed out that during Sunday’s Assembly session, Revanth Reddy failed to respond to questions raised by former Minister T Harish Rao and clarifications sought by MIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi on the PC Ghose Commission report, which, he claimed, exposed the falsity of the allegations.
