Sangareddy: Union Minister of Mines G. Kishan Reddy said that the Congress government has attracted more anger in 10 months than the BRS government did in 10 years. Addressing a graduate and teacher MLC election campaign meeting in Sangareddy on Friday, Reddy said that the Congress government had failed to keep the promises made during the assembly election campaign.
Kishan Reddy stated that the Congress government had promised to issue a job calendar for regular recruitments before coming to power. However, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has completely failed to fulfill the promises made to unemployed youth. He said that before coming to power, Revanth and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had visited Ashoknagar Library in Hyderabad to interact with unemployed youth and had promised to extend pensions to them. However, he added, the Congress government has now completely ignored the unemployed youth.
The Minister further said that Revanth has also ignored promises made to government employees. He urged voters to elect the three BJP candidates to the Legislative Council so they could serve as a voice for the voiceless.
Medak MP M. Raghunandan Rao stated that the Congress government had issued post-dated cheques to 9,000 government employees who retired after Congress came to power, preventing them from receiving their retirement benefits immediately.
BJP candidate Chinnamail Anji Reddy from the Adilabad-Medak-Nizamabad-Karimnagar graduate constituency, Malka Komuraiah, the party’s candidate from the teachers’ constituency, and others were present.
