Congress govt in Telangana will go down in history as a disastrous administration

BRS cadres staged protests across erstwhile Khammam district on Wednesday, criticising the Congress government’s 1,000-day rule in Telangana. Former Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar and Rajya Sabha member Vaddiraju Ravichandra accused the administration of corruption, mismanagement, and failure to deliver welfare schemes, while asserting that K Chandrashekhar Rao’s return to power was inevitable.

Khammam: BRS cadres and leaders across erstwhile Khammam district took to the streets exposing the failures of the 1,000 days’ rule of the Congress government in the State.

Protests were staged at all Assembly constituency headquarters in the district on Wednesday following a call given by the party working president KT Rama Rao. Addressing a gathering in Khammam, former Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar stated that the government led by Chief Minister A Reddy would go down in history as a disastrous administration.

The people were compelled to bear the Congress’ misrule and wait for another two years. However, the BRS chief K Chandrashekhar Rao’s return to power was inevitable. The era of ‘Golden Telangana’ and an ideal rule would certainly return, he said.

Rampant corruption, land grabbing, placing the lands of common people on the ‘prohibited list’ under Section 22A to facilitate the collection of commissions and infighting among Ministers over tenders and the percentages were the hallmarks of the government.

Right now, the entire State Cabinet was in Delhi squabbling over positions; plotting to oust one another, clamouring for specific portfolios, projects, or tenders while neglecting public issues, Ajay Kumar alleged.

Rajya Sabha member Vaddiraju Ravichandra who led a similar protest at Kothagudem district headquarters alleged that not a single section of society was happy under Congress rule and that the public was deeply dissatisfied.

The government employees were deprived of PRC benefits and six DA installments; unemployed youth were frustrated by the lack of recruitment notifications while the students were struggling due to unpaid fee reimbursements, he said.

Likewise auto-rickshaw drivers have not received financial aid from the Congress party and women were furious over its failure to implement the Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak schemes, he added.
