Hyderabad: The Congress high command on Thursday approved the constitution of five committees, including Political Affairs Committee, Advisory Committee, Delimitation Committee, Samvidhan Bachao Programme Committee and Disciplinary Action Committee in the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC).

However, the uncertainty over working presidents, vice presidents, general secretaries and other posts continues. This apart, cabinet expansion and filling up of nominated posts is still pending.

Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud, who were in New Delhi early this week to meet to finalise the exercise, could not accomplish the task. Though they met AICC General secretary KC Venugopal, the exercise could not be completed as AICC Chief Mallikarjun Kharge was not available for convening a meeting, party sources said.

Accordingly, the Chief Minister, TPCC president and senior leaders have been summoned to New Delhi on Friday.

The above Committees have been constituted with 66 members, including AICC Telangana incharge Meenakshi Natarajan, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud and Cabinet Ministers.

The Political Affairs Committee is comprised of 22 members, Advisory Committee has 15 members, Delimitation Committee has seven, Samvidhan Bachao Programme Committee 16 while the Disciplinary Action Committee is made up of six members.
