Jagtial: Taking the stand-off between them a step further, senior Congress leader T Jeevan Reddy lodged a complaint with the State Election Commission against Jagtial MLA Dr Sanjay Kumar, who had quit the BRS and joined the Congress, triggering a long standing spat between the two while trying to dominate party affairs in the district.
Jeevan Reddy, who had earlier made personal remarks against the legislator, submitted a written complaint to State Election Commissioner Rani Kumudini, alleging that Sanjay Kumar was distributing money and liquor in Jagtial and Raikal municipalities and influencing officials.
He alleged that the MLA was disturbing the electorate’s right to exercise their franchise in a peaceful atmosphere through his activities. Jeevan Reddy urged the Election Commission to appoint a special task force committee to curb such unethical practices.
