Hyderabad: Adding fuel to the rift between former Minister T Jeevan Reddy and BRS turncoat MLA Dr Sanjay, Congress MLC Balmuri Venkat on Saturday hinted that Jeevan Reddy should mend his ways and work in line with the party’s directions.

Participating in a party meeting at Jagtial, Venkat, without naming Jeevan Reddy, said senior leaders needed to exercise greater patience. Interestingly, the BRS turncoat MLA also attended the meeting despite claiming that he was still associated with the BRS.

Addressing party leaders, Venkat said that irrespective of seniority, all leaders were required to function according to the party’s plans and directions. He asserted that the party’s decision was final and binding on both junior and senior leaders.

“If leaders continue to oppose party directions and work against its interests, workers like me will not stay quiet,” Venkat is seen saying in a video that is circulating on social media.

He stated that once the party issues the B Form to a candidate, all leaders, even if they do not personally approve of the candidate, must work for the party’s victory in the municipal elections.
