Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao charged the Congress government with neglecting both agriculture and education sectors in Telangana, pushing them into a crisis. He said the Congress regime has shown neither commitment to the farming sector nor responsibility towards the education system.

Pointing to the commencement of Vaanakalam (Kharif) season, Rama Rao questioned the government’s failure to complete crop loan waiver, disburse Rythu Bharosa financial aid and implement Rythu Bima insurance scheme. He said farmers are still waiting for the support, despite repeated assurance. “During BRS rule, agriculture was celebrated like a festival. Today, under Congress, it is in decline,” he said.

He also hit out at the government’s apathy towards education, noting that despite schools reopening, the Congress government remains indifferent. “Under BRS, Telangana’s education system witnessed the peaks with the launch of over a thousand welfare gurukuls. But now, the same system is in crisis,” he added.
