Congress registering false cases on BRS leaders: Gangula
Kamalakar said that the Congress leaders were only trying to weaken the BRS which was strong in Karimnagar. During the BRS rule, no illegal cases were registered against the Congress or BJP leaders
karimnagar: Local MLA Gangula Kamalakar accused the Congress party leaders of trying to register false cases against the BRS party leaders. The MLA and some corporators met the police commissioner Abhisheka Mohanthy on Thursday. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the Congress leaders, who registered SC/ST atrocities case against Karimnagar Mayor Y Sunil Rao by mounting pressure on police, were pressurizing the cops to arrest the Mayor since the case was registered.
Similarly, the ruling party leaders were also pressurising the police to register a case against BRS town president Challa Harishankar. The BRS delegation urged the CP to go through the complaints in a transparent manner before registering the cases. They were satisfied with the reply given by the CP, who assured not to deviate from the law while registering cases.
Kamalakar said that the Congress leaders were only trying to weaken the BRS which was strong in Karimnagar. During the BRS rule, no illegal cases were registered against the Congress or BJP leaders, he pointd out.
He alleged that even after ten months of rule, the Congress government had done nothing for the development of Karimnagar. The lighting system on the cable-bridge was not working while the BT road laid on the bridge was damaged. But, nobody was bothered about it and initiating repair works.
People elected the Congress party with the hope of development, but the ruling party leaders were only interested in getting false cases on their political opponents. The BRS government had taken up various developmental works by spending Rs 350 crore. However, all the works were stalled due to lack of funds, he said and asked the Congress leaders to resume them and complete all the pending works by sanctioning Rs 2000 crore.
They also met Collector Pamela Satpathy and requested her to complete pending works.
