Hyderabad: Nayini Anurag Reddy, a prominent voice on social media, has highlighted the transformative potential of the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project. Countering the criticism levelled against the project by the Congress leadership, he emphasised its role in addressing Hyderabad’s water needs and the rejuvenation of the Musi River.

“There’s a strange justice in nature. The same mouths that mocked Kaleshwaram will now drink water from it. The same project will flow into Musi, bringing it back to life,” he posted on X.

He further noted that the Congress government plans to utilise 20 TMC of water from the Mallanna Sagar reservoir of the Kaleshwaram project, with 2.5 TMC allocated for Musi River rejuvenation and 17.5 TMC designated for Hyderabad’s drinking water supply.

Reddy highlighted the project’s enduring legacy. “When history is written, Kaleshwaram will stand taller than every lie spoken against it. A vision beyond politics, a lifeline beyond generations,” he said while thanking former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao for his vision.
