Rajanna Sircilla: Union Minister of State for Home Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Tuesday criticised the Congress party for giving advertisements in Maharashtra newspapers claiming that six guarantees promised during the time of elections were implemented in Telangana.
In order to come to power in Maharashtra, the Congress was trying to mislead the people with such advertisements along with photographs of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, he said while participating in various programmes in Rudrangi mandal.
The Congress party won power in Karnataka by showing the Himachal Pradesh model and in Telangana by showing the Karnataka model. Now, it was planning to capture power in Maharashtra by showing the Telangana model, he said, adding that Telangana’s money was being wasted in Maharashtra in the name of advertisements for the Congress.
Agriculture Minister Thummala Nageshwar Rao himself informed that Rs 2 lakh crop loan waiver benefit was not provided to 22 lakh farmers. However, the Congress was claiming in Maharashtra advertisements that all crop loans were waived in Telangana.
