Construction of roads worth Rs 60,799 crore across Telangana, says Komatireddy
Telangana Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy announced that the State is undertaking road construction works worth Rs 60,799 crore, with additional projects worth Rs 28,000 crore in the proposal stage. The Minister described the Future City–Amaravati–Bandar Port Greenfield Highway as a landmark project for the State.
Hyderabad: Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said the State government is undertaking road construction works worth Rs 60,799 crore and road projects worth another Rs 28,000 crore are at the proposal stage.
In a statement issued here on Saturday, the Minister announced that the Hyderabad–Vijayawada National Highway, stretching from Abdullapur Industrial Park to Vijayawada, would be expanded into an eight-lane Expressway. The estimated cost of this project is Rs 10,400 crore, he said.
The HAM (Hybrid Annuity Model) projects would be taken up with Rs 11,399 crore and tenders would be floated soon.
Under the Rs 28,000 crore worth of projects being proposed, the 52-km Mannanur–Srisailam elevated corridor with a proposed cost of Rs 8,000 crore is also included. The Future City–Amaravati–Bandar Port Greenfield Highway to be built at a cost of Rs 20,000 crore, would be a landmark project in the State, he added.
