Hyderabad: A centering worker was killed by his friends when he asked them not to quarrel and disturb him at Madhuranagar in the city.
The victim, Shaik Azmeer Pasha, stayed on the pavement at Yousufguda along with his friends Raju and Prakash.
On August 8 night, Raju and Prakash were quarreling after they discovered that a blanket was missing. “Pasha first warned them not to fight and disturb his sleep, when they continued to fight, he took a stick and hit Prakash on the leg. Angered by this, Prakash went away and returned with a granite slab. He hurled the granite at Pasha’s head while the man was asleep, leading to serious injuries. The injured person was rushed to a hospital, where he died while under treatment on Saturday,” said the police.
The police initially registered a case of attempt to murder and have now altered it to murder.
