Hyderabad: Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar alleged that there was a conspiracy behind the State government’s decision to remove paddy procurement centres. He demanded that all the Rythu Vedikas constructed in the State should be turned into crop purchase centres immediately.
Speaking to media here on Monday, Sanjay urged Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao to explain what took him so long to understand the new agricultural laws. He alleged that the move was an attempt to divert public attention and create confusion among farmers as well as people of Telangana State.
Further, the BJP State president found fault with the State government’s farm policies and demanded to know the reasons for the loss of Rs 7,500 crore suffered by the State in procurement of crops. BJP national vice-president DK Aruna, BJP leader and former MP G Vivek, MLC N Ramchander Rao, and other leaders were present.
