Hyderabad: Hyderabad pace duo of Bhuvangagiri Punnaiah (4/26) and Rishith Reddy (3/27) restricted Tripura to a modest 143 in 50.2 overs on the first day of the four-day Under-19 Elite Group D Cooch Behar league match in New Delhi on Monday. Hyderabad, in reply, were 89/3 in 32 overs.
Rishith Reddy, who has been selected for the Challengers Series on Monday, did the early damage when he removed the top order of Arman Hossain,, Deepjoy Deb and Anandh Bhowmik. However, a fight 90-ball 60 by Arindam Barman kept the Hyderabad bowlers at bay before Punnaiah ran through the midddle order in which he also took the wicket of Barman.
Opener Aman Rao made 45 in Hyderabad’s reply so far.
