Hyderabad: First innings centurion Aman Rao continued his good run with a 89-run knock while Sarthak Bharadwaj scored 67 to put Hyderabad ahead on the third day against Uttarakhand in the Cooch Behar trophy at the Airforce Complex Ground, New Delhi on Wednesday.
This was after bowlers dismissed Uttarakhand, who resumed at the overnight score of 240/5, for 276 in 81.3 overs giving Hyderabad a slender 16-run first innings lead. Murugan Abhishek picked up four wickets while B Punnaiah scalped three.
Later, Aman hit 12 boundaries and two sixes in his 132-ball essay and added 72 runs with Bharadwaj for the third wicket to guide Hyderabad to good position. At stumps, Abhishek (36 batting) and B Rishikesh (29 batting) are at the crease.
Brief Scores: Hyderabad 292 & 272/5 in 75 overs (Aman Rao 89, Sarthak Bharadwaj 67) vs Uttarakhand 276 in 81.3 overs (M Abhishek 4/101, B Punnaiah 3/71).
