Hyderabad: Hyderabad went down to Bengal by 151 runs on the fourth day of the Elite Group D Cooch Behar match at the Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium in New Delhi on Thursday.
After declaring at their overnight score of 383/9 at stumps on Day Three to give Hyderabad a 296-run target for victory, Bengal bowlers stuck in unison to dismiss Hyderabad to a paltry 145 in 44.2 overs.
Hyderabad lost opener Aman Rao in the third over before losing A Avanish and Sarthak Bharadwan at the team’s score of 78. Only Vegnesh Reddy, with a 90-ball 46, could offer some resistance as other batters came a cropper. Seven of the Hyderabad batters were dismissed for single digit scores.
For the winners, Toufik Uddin scalped four wickets while Siddharth Singh and Yudhajit Guha took three and two wickets respectively.
