Hyderabad: Cyberabad Police Commissioner Avinash Mohanty commended the efforts of head constable M Venkat Reddy and constables K Pradeep Reddy and P Veeraswamy from the Madhapur CCS, for their bravery during the recent firing incident in Gachibowli. The Commissioner rewarded the officers at his office on Friday.

On February 1, during an operation to nab notorious criminal, Bathula Prabhakar, the police team faced gunfire at a pub in Gachibowli. Venkat Reddy sustained a gunshot injury to his left foot and was immediately shifted to a private hospital for treatment.

Despite the risks, the team arrested Prabhakar, who has over 70 criminal cases registered against him in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, the Cyberabad Police said in a press release.
