Couple killed as fire breaks out in house at Hyderabad’s Rein Bazaar
The couple and a family member Shruti were present in the house when fire started while the family was busy preparing food
Hyderabad: An elderly couple died while a woman is battling for life after a major fire at a house in Rein Bazaar of Yakutpura on Monday night.
The couple — Heera Mohan Lal and his wife Usha Rani — and a family member Shruti were present in the house when fire started while the family was busy preparing food.
According to police, edible oil in the pan got over heated and led to the fire that soon spread in the house. Some crackers stored in the house for Diwali also burst due to the fire.
On getting information, the police and fire personnel reached the spot and rescued Mohan, Usha and Shruti. They were rushed to a hospital where the couple — Mohan and Usha were pronounced dead. The police evacuated people from adjoining buildings as a precautionary measure. A case was registered.
