Couple killed on the spot as lorry hits two-wheeler in Mancherial
A couple from Naspur lost their lives instantly when a speeding lorry collided with their motorcycle on a flyover between Indaram and Nazeerpalli villages in Jaipur mandal.
Mancherial: A couple was killed on the spot when a lorry hit the two-wheeler on which they were travelling on a flyover between Indaram and Nazeerpalli villages in Jaipur mandal on Wednesday.
Jaipur police said Bethoju Narayana (60) and his wife Bharathamma (55), both from Naspur, sustained grievous injuries when the lorry hit their motorcycle, resulting in their death on the spot. The lorry also overturned after hitting the two-wheeler, bringing traffic on the route to a halt. On receiving information, police rushed to the spot and cleared the wreckage.
A case was registered against the driver of the lorry. The investigation is underway.
