Court bars misuse of Chiranjeevi’s name, image, voice online

The Hyderabad civil court has issued an interim injunction preventing the use of actor Chiranjeevi’s name, image, or voice without consent. The order targets online platforms using AI-generated content and misleading material potentially harming the actor’s reputation

Hyderabad: The city civil court has issued an interim injunction against several entities for using actor Chiranjeevi’s name, image, or voice without his consent for any purpose.

The order was passed after the actor filed a complaint against several online platforms for misusing his identity. The platforms were allegedly using the image and voice of the actor for business promotional activities and other activities.

Chiranjeevi’s lawyers informed the court that several companies and social media pages were using his image, including AI-generated versions that were fake, misleading, and potentially harmful to his reputation.

The actor had recently met the Hyderabad Commissioner of Police, V C Sajjanar and handed over a copy of the civil court order.
