Courtyard by Marriott Hyderabad launches Vayu, a rooftop resto-bar celebrating regional Indian flavours
Hyderabad Marriott Hotel & Convention Centre has launched Vayu, a rooftop resto-bar offering regional Indian cuisine, signature cocktails and a vibrant social atmosphere. Inspired by India's landscapes and culinary traditions, the venue aims to become a new destination for experiential dining in the city.
Hyderabad: Hyderabad Marriott Hotel & Convention Centre has launched Vayu, a rooftop resto-bar that combines regional Indian cuisine, signature cocktails and a contemporary social dining experience.
Perched above the city, Vayu is positioned as a destination where food, beverages, music and conversation come together. Named after the Sanskrit word for “wind”, the concept draws inspiration from the idea of wind as India’s first traveller, carrying memories, flavours and traditions across coastlines, mountains, plains and deserts.
Designed as an open-air rooftop venue, Vayu features contemporary architecture with thoughtfully curated interiors, offering intimate seating, communal tables and a vibrant bar. The space is aimed at after-work gatherings, weekend celebrations and social evenings, catering to Hyderabad’s growing community of professionals, entrepreneurs and food enthusiasts.
The menu celebrates India’s diverse culinary heritage through dishes inspired by multiple regional traditions. Highlights include Shrimp Pickle with Masala Brioche, Chicken Wings Vepudu, Steamed Kalimpong Momos and Jeedipappu Pakoda. Signature mains include Andhra’s Gongura Mamsaam, Kundapur Ghee Roast from coastal Karnataka, Kerala’s Meen Pollichattu, Kolhapuri Mutton Sukka and the classic Butter Chicken from Old Delhi.
Complementing the food is The Paper Plane’s Logbook, Vayu’s signature cocktail programme inspired by the journey of a paper plane across India. Cocktails such as Crimson Wind, Kokum Cloud and Firestorm Ember incorporate regional ingredients including gongura, kokum, passionfruit, ginger and fermented chilli to create distinctive flavour profiles.
