Hyderabad: Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar here on Friday instructed officials to make necessary arrangements for administering Covid-19 vaccine to TSRTC employees, who are 45 and above years, in the next four days.
As many as 1,000 health centres would be utilized for administering vaccine to employees. The manager of the depot concerned should take the responsibility and coordinate with the staff of nearest health centre to administer vaccine to 80 employees in each depot every day, the Minister said while speaking virtually with depot and regional managers.
The RTC officials should also take necessary steps for providing drinking water, chairs and transport facility to employees arriving at the health centres for administering vaccine, he said adding that submitting Aadhaar card details is mandatory for each employee to get the vaccine.
The executive directors and regional managers must visit the depots under their jurisdiction and ensure that employees get vaccine. In spite of facing difficulties due to Covid-16, the RTC management is gradually attempting to overcome the problems and drawing good patronage from passengers.
Keeping in view of the welfare of employees, the RTC management is leaving no stone unturned in extending better facilities to employees.
RTC Managing Director Sunil Sharma, who took the first dose of vaccine in the presence of the Transport Minister, said the employees should not have any doubts about the vaccine. Employees should be careful and protect themselves while rendering services to passengers.
At the same time, employees, who are 45 years and above age, should avail the facility of get vaccine, he added.
