Covid: No Giripradakshina at Simhachalam temple this year
Temple would be open for darshan on the occasion of Guru Poornima on July 23 and 24 and devotees would be allowed with strict implementation of Covid protocols

Visakhapatnam: There will be no Giripradakshina of the Simhachalam hill temple this year too on the eve of Guru Poornima due to night curfew and implementation of COVID control measures.
Announcing this here on Wednesday, executive officer of Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swami temple of Simhachalam, Suryakala, said that Giripradakshina would not be allowed this year also due to the Covid situation.

However, the temple would be open for darshan on the occasion of Guru Poornima on July 23 and 24 and devotees would be allowed with strict implementation of Covid protocols.
Lakhs of devotees perform Giripradakshnina and have darshan of deity on the occasion of Guru Poornima. But, for the first time, it was cancelled last year. With no change in the situation, it was decided not to allow Giripradakshina this year also.
