Peddapalli: Scared of Covid-19, a 30-year-old youth attempted suicide by jumping into a well in Neerukulla of Sultanabad mandal on Sunday afternoon.
Acording to the villagers, Pallerla Mahesh, who works as a sales executive at a branded tractor showroom in Sultnabad, was infected by Coronavirus one week ago and he was in home isolation subsequently. He was, however, scared that he may not recover from the virus attack and decided to end his life in front of his house. Neighbours who saw Mahesh jumping into the well rescued him. Mahesh, who sustained minor injuries on his legs and hands, was shifted to hospital for treatment.
