Covid Vaccination: 4,000 beneficiaries to be covered in Telangana

"we have received instructions from union government to first administer the vaccine to sanitation workers because they are the first who took care of Covid-19 positive patients," Director of Public Health, Dr G.Srinivasa Rao said.

Hyderabad: The first day of Covid vaccination drive on Saturday will cover at least 4,000 healthcare workers at 139 vaccination centres across Telangana, health officials said here on Friday.

The majority of beneficiaries during the first few days of the vaccination drive will comprise staff from sanitation wings of the healthcare facilities.

Every week, the Covid vaccination drive will be carried out for four days while the remaining days, except for Sunday, will be focused on providing vaccines for other ailments.
