Hyderabad:About 50 vials of the Covishield vaccine have reportedly gone missing from the Ranga Reddy area hospital in Gachibowli. Hospital authorities suspect the role of some staff members behind the incident.

Sources said during a recent internal audit, the hospital authorities learned that 50 vaccine injection vials, which otherwise could be used to vaccinate 500 persons, were missing from the stock.

The audit staff informed hospital Superintendent Dr. Dasharath, who apart from launching an internal enquiry into the incident, lodged a complaint with the Gachibowli police as well on Thursday.

The Gachibowli police have booked a case and started investigation.
