Siddipet: Finance Minister T Harish Rao has hailed the tahsildars for their role in acquiring 50,000 acres of land across Siddipet district for building reservoirs and digging canals under Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme (KLIS).

Presenting laptops to Tahsildars here on Monday, the Minister said that completing the project without the committed effort of revenue employees would have been a daunting task for the State government. “The credit of completing the KLIS in a short time goes to the revenue employees,” Harish Rao said. He also appreciated District Collector P Venkatrami Reddy’s efforts in leading the revenue officials from the front during the past four years.

Saying that the revenue employees had done a great job since Siddipet district was formed, Rao has said that the Dharani website will reduce burden on them gradually. Commissioner of Police D Joel Davis, Additional Collector Muzammil Khan and others were present.
