CREST at BITS Pilani concludes 15-day internship program for 20 students in Hyderabad
The visit provided students with first-hand exposure to state-of-the-art research facilities, showcasing advancements in emerging technologies

Hyderabad: The Center for Research Excellence in Semiconductor Technology (CREST) at BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus concluded a 15-day immersive internship for 20 Dibrugarh University, Assam, students to elevate semiconductor education.
The visit provided students with first-hand exposure to state-of-the-art research facilities, showcasing advancements in emerging technologies. Among the facilities visited were the Nanofabrication Clean Room, Institute’s Innovation Council (IIC), Technology Business Incubator (TBI), Central Analytical Lab, MEMS, Microfluidics and Nanoelectronics (MMNE) Lab, Electronic Materials and Devices (EMD) Lab, and Printed Electronics Lab.
BITS Pilani Vice Chancellor Prof. Ramgopal Rao said such academic exchanges play a vital role in developing India’s future leaders in science and technology.
BITS Pilani Hyderabad campus director Prof. Soumya Mukherjee said through collaborations like these, the BITS was fostering an environment that encourages innovation and strengthens India’s semiconductor research and education capabilities.
