Hyderabad: A resident of Bahadurpura who allegedly was organising cricket betting was caught by Hyderabad Police on Sunday following a raid on his house. The police seized Rs 90,000 cash and two mobile phones from him.
The team caught Ashwin Kumar, a resident of Bahadurpura, while he was accepting betting amount from punters. His associate and main bookie Dharm, a resident of Mangalhat, managed to escape, the police said.
Ashwin Kumar, along with the property, was handed over to Bahadurpura police station for further action. Efforts are on to nab Dharm.
