Hyderabad: Three persons who were organising cricket betting were caught by the Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force (North) team on Sunday. The police seized Rs 1.20 lakh in cash and one mobile phone.
Acting on a tip off, the team caught Ankit Agarwal (31), Mohit Agarwal (29) and Kanak Agarwal (34). “The gang was organizing online cricket betting on the ICC T20 World Cup and accepting bets from the punters. On information, a raid was conducted and they were caught from a house in Narayanguda,” said DCP Task Force, P Radha Krishna Rao.
The three persons along with the property were handed over to the Naryanguda police station for further action.
