CV Anand enters semifinal of Hyderabad Open tennis tournament

Hyderabad: CV Anand moved into the semifinal of the 55 years & above singles category in the 23rd Hyderabad Open tennis tournament at Jubilee Hills International Centre here on Friday.

Anand defeated Manikanna 6-4, 6-4 in the quarterfinal.

40 years & above: Madhusudhan Rao bt Amit Reddy 6-3, 6-2.

60 years & above: G Raja bt Nikhil 6-1, 7-5; Hemanth bt Prathap Reddy 6-1, 6-0.

65 years & above: Meher Prakash bt Isaiah 6-1, 6-0.

70 years & above: Gajapathi bt Erragatu Swamy 6-1, 6-2.

75 years & above: Rama Mohan bt Ramesh Kumar 6-1, 6-1.
