CV Anand inspects Jail Bhavan and Malakpet printing office
Special Chief Secretary (Home) CV Anand visited the Telangana Jail Bhavan to review prison administration, infrastructure, and welfare measures. He interacted with officials and was briefed by DG Soumya Mishra on reformation and rehabilitation initiatives.
Hyderabad: The Special Chief Secretary (Home), CV Anand, on Saturday, visited the office of the Director General Prisons and Correctional Services (Jail Bhavan) Telangana reviewed the functioning.
As part of the visit, Anand inspected various sections within the Jail Bhavan and interacted with officials reviewing the facilities, administrative systems, prison control room and overall functioning of the institution.
He also examined the infrastructure and operational aspects of the Jail Bhavan, and appreciated the efforts being made towards maintaining efficient prison administration and ensuring welfare-oriented practices. Dr. Soumya Mishra, DG Prisons and Correctional Services, briefed Anand on the ongoing reformation measures, institutional management practices, and initiatives aimed at improving the living conditions and rehabilitation of inmates.
During the visit, Y. Rajesh, Inspector General of Prisons; N. Murali Babu, Inspector General of Prisons; D. Srinivas, Deputy Inspector General of Prisons (Hyderabad Range); and M. Sampath, Deputy Inspector General of Prisons (Warangal Range), also accompanied the Special Chief Secretary during the visit.
CV Anand also visited the Commissioner Printing, Stationery and Stores Purchase Department office, Malakpet where he inspected the functioning of the unit and reviewed the processes involved in printing and production. He appreciated the systematic operations and emphasised the importance of efficiency and modernization in government-run facilities.
