Hyderabad: No one expected that the entire world would have to be using digital platforms for schools, colleges, and companies but, the pandemic has forced us to be digitally equipped, said Principal Secretary for Industries and IT, Jayesh Ranjan.

Speaking at a certification programme for ‘Cyber Yoddha’ held by the Rachakonda Police in coordination with the Rachakonda Security Council (RKSC) and End Now foundation here on Saturday, he said, “While efforts are being made to make the villages also digital, many are still skeptical about using the digital network with the fear of being cheated. The State government is implementing fast internet connections in remote areas.”

Jayesh Ranjan, who also unveiled another new programme ‘Cyber Charcha’, said perhaps it was the first time that such a programme was being conducted in the State. Cyber Charcha, is a concept based on crowdsourcing and is a very effective way to align learning with the speed of business.

Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh Bhagwat said it was the responsibility of each ‘Cyber Yoddha’ to reach out to communities and spread awareness on cybercrime.

Rachakonda Cybercrime ACP Harinath said the aim of ‘Cyber Yoddha’ is primarily to bring awareness among school and college-goers. “We train the trainer so that, the reach of the program can be spread further,” he said.
