Hyderabad: A high-level meeting convened by the Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC), in coordination with Cyberabad police and IT managements, discussed measures to manage traffic movement during the ongoing monsoon in the Cyberabad region.

Officials discussed steps to reduce traffic congestion during periods of heavy rainfall and improve commuter safety across major IT corridors. Representatives of IT companies were encouraged to strengthen employee bus transportation systems, promote greater use of Metro and other public transport services, and reduce dependence on individual car travel wherever feasible, a press release said.

The officials also discussed increasing employee shuttle and bus services, reviewing employee login and logout timings during adverse weather conditions, and adopting staggered office timings wherever required to ease peak-hour traffic congestion.

Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad, Dr M Ramesh emphasised the importance of coordinated planning and timely communication during monsoon-related traffic disruptions.

CMC Commissioner, G Srijana also reviewed ongoing and pending infrastructure works in key IT corridors and directed officials to expedite their completion to minimise inconvenience to commuters.
