Hyderabad: Cyberabad Police Commissioner M Stephen Raveendra held a review meeting with Cybercrime officials here on Friday.
Speaking at the meeting, Raveendra said a robust mechanism was needed to monitor cybercrime and reiterated that in the coming years, most offences would have cyber space as a medium or target, requiring every police officer to be well equipped to detect these cases.

“The aim of the cybercrime police must be investigation and conviction. For this, we need to analyze cases based on common modus operandi and work on detecting and expeditiously investigating the cases,” he said, adding that good conviction rate could be ensured with improvement in quality of charge.
Rewards were later given to staff for their efforts in nabbing suspects in various cybercrime cases last week. DCP (Crimes) Rohini Priyadarshini and other senior officials were present.
